Аннотация
Материалом для исследования послужила последняя опубликованная Н.В. Гоголем книга – «Выбранные места из переписки с друзьями» (1847). Целью стало выявление элитологических конструктов в произведении. Первый вывод касается фигуры автора, помещённой на переднем плане. Писатель уверен, что пережитый им личный опыт восхождения к Богу необходимо передать людям, это поможет избавить русский народ и человечество в целом от страшной участи. Он мифологизирует свою биографию, демонстрирует профетические черты и принимает роль мессии. Далее речь ведётся о гоголевской поэтике: склонности к столкновению противоположностей, вертикальной ориентации художественного пространства, частотности образа лестницы. Подтверждается серьёзное значение принципа иерархичности в авторской картине мира. В ходе анализа «Выбранных мест…» устанавливается, что писатель убеждён во врождённом превосходстве одних людей над другими. Среди «естественных» факторов стратификации общества автор выделяет пол, возраст, состояние здоровья, умственные способности, красоту. Во взглядах на идеальное устройство семьи Н.В. Гоголь близок к патриархальной традиции. Сословие, чин, должность, по его мнению, даются Богом, стараться изменить существующий порядок ни в коем случае нельзя, потому что свыше мудро распределены соответствующие призванию наклонности. Мера ответственности вышестоящих в разы превышает ту, что возлагается на низшие слои общества, начальники обязаны заботиться о своих подчинённых. Вершину социальной пирамиды представляет царь, посредник между небом и землёй. Последняя часть статьи посвящена представлениям писателя об исключительном положении России на мировой арене. Рассматриваются доводы, с помощью которых Н.В. Гоголь доказывает особую судьбу и уникальную миссию русского народа. Обозначается триада высших начал, которые, по мнению автора, несут спасение: православие, самодержавие и искусство (конкретно – литература, живопись, театр).
